Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and ZALUZENA Technologies Limited, which runs Ifeora. By creating an account, you accept them.
Who can join
- You must be 18 or older.
- One person, one account. Your profile must be about you, with your real age and recent photos of you.
- To read and send messages, call or plan a Safe Date, you must pass our identity check (your NIN, or a passport or ID card, plus a live selfie) and activate chat. We may refuse or remove any account that fails the check.
Identity check and chat activation
The identity check is free, with up to three attempts. Reading and sending messages, calling and planning a Safe Date need a one-time payment to activate chat, which you can make once you have passed the check. Until you activate it, we show you how many messages are waiting, never what they say. A call or a new Safe Date needs both of you to have activated chat. There is no subscription. Once chat is active the payment is not refundable, except where the law requires it or we made a mistake.
Lights
- Lights are a digital credit for optional features, such as Boosts, Lit messages, seeing who liked you, Rewind, extra likes and visit passes. A visit pass covers one trip; you can change its dates, and it is not refunded if you cancel the trip. Messages and replies never cost Lights.
- Prices are shown before you spend. Lights never expire.
- Lights have no cash value and cannot be transferred to other members, sold or exchanged for money. They are not refundable, except where the law requires or we made a mistake.
- If you delete your account, or we close it for breaking these terms, unused Lights are lost.
- Free Lights earned through abuse, such as fake invites, may be withheld or removed.
How to behave
Do not:
- pretend to be someone else or use someone else’s ID;
- ask anyone for money, gifts, crypto, account details or investments;
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or share someone’s private information;
- post or show nudity, sexual content, hate or violence, in messages, voice notes or calls;
- record calls, or share someone’s voice notes, messages or call screenshots, without their permission;
- advertise, sell or recruit;
- put contact details on your profile (phone numbers, emails, links, social media names or handles) or in a date plan before you have met;
- get around our safety rules (including hidden contact details), scrape the service or create more than one account.
We review reports and may warn, suspend or ban accounts. Banned members cannot rejoin with the same ID.
Your safety
We check identity, but we cannot vouch for anyone’s behaviour. Keep conversations in Ifeora until you are ready (contact details stay hidden in chat until you have met), never send money to someone you have not met, meet in a public place the first time, and tell a friend where you will be. Report anything that worries you. In an emergency, call 112.
Your content
You own what you post. You allow us to host it and show it to other members so Ifeora can work. You can delete it, or your whole account, at any time.
Genotype guidance
Genotype guidance, including your children’s possible haemoglobin types, is calculated from the genotypes you and your match provide, using standard inheritance patterns. It is general information only, not medical advice, and it is only as accurate as the genotypes entered. Self-reported results are not checked. Talk to a doctor or genetic counsellor before making health or family decisions.
Launch offers
From time to time we offer rewards to some members, such as free chat activation or Lights. Each offer is shown in the app to the members it applies to, with its conditions. Each is given once per person and can’t be exchanged for money. We may change or end an offer at any time, and we may withhold or remove a reward gained through fake accounts or other abuse.
Our responsibility
We work to keep Ifeora available and safe, but provide it as it is. To the extent Nigerian law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for how members behave, on or off Ifeora. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms and will tell you in the app about important changes. You can stop using Ifeora and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
